Our Philosophy
We believe in a collaborative approach to the doctor-patient relationship. We do not believe that there is a single right approach to medical care or child rearing. There are many acceptable approaches. It is our role to be facilitators and consultants in the care of your child. It is important to come up with a plan and approach which is both medically appropriate and also in line with your desires.
We can achieve this through communication, trust, and honesty—the cornerstones to any successful doctor-patient relationship. We encourage you to ask questions and express your concerns. It is our desire to create an environment where you feel comfortable being open and honest on all aspects of your child’s healthcare.
As parents to four boys, Dr. Pete and Dr. Michelle know first hand the day to day trials and tribulations of raising a family from diapers to little league and beyond.
They experience the same concerns that all parents do when they have a sick or hurt child, and they understand the importance of knowing that their child is in the hands of a skilled and knowledgeable physician.
They have first hand experience with the more mundane but still important daily challenges of temper tantrums, potty training, sibling fights and struggles over meal times and bedtimes.
As pediatricians taught and trained at the top medical schools and hospitals in the nation, Dr. Pete and Dr. Michelle are experts in pediatric medicine. They are knowledgeable about the most up-to-date treatments, and trained in the most current techniques. With more than 20 years of experience between them, they have become skilled at communicating effectively with both adults and children
At Almaden Pediatrics, Dr. Pete and Dr. Michelle have combined these important aspects to create and environment where parents know that their child is receiving top notch care and where children feel comfortable enough to have a laugh.
